Your contribution for a carbon-free future

As OPS Proposal Manager here with us, your main responsibility is to manage proposal development for complex opportunities (typically over $5M with increased responsibility according to experience) with particular focus on the commercial elements of the Proposal and ownership of the Pricing file. You will secure compliance with Westinghouse governance process and timely organize the relevant meetings. To mention a few of the other daily tasks, this means that you will:


  • Prepare the offer Division of Responsibility Matrix. Communicate to the expected bid team members.
  • Identify individual RFQ requirements, including all attachments, and coordinate inputs for completion (forms, language translations etc.)
  • Collaborate with Customer Solution Manager, Account team, Contracts/Legal and as necessary Supply Chain Management etc.
  • Ensure complete and on time submittal of the proposal to customer via appropriate path
  • Support negotiations with the client until final contract signature, ensuring proper teamwork and alignment and with all relevant WEC stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Customer Solutions Manager to develop cost models that support the financial aspect of the submission and LOA governance process.
  • Ensure that cost rates, overhead markups, escalation, management reserve and margin/EBITDA levels are accurate in the estimates and responsible to generate the estimate sheet and the overall consolidation in case of multiple product segments.
  • Confirming LOA requirements, scheduling the meetings, and developing the LOA document, in accordance with the Westinghouse LOA Policy.
  • Develop and maintain critical working relationships with internal and external customer personnel.

The role is placed in Sweden, Västerås and limited domestic travel to customer offices, vendor facilities or industry conferences may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent experience
  • 2 -5 years of experience in industrial landscape
  • 5-10 years experience in similar position to be eligible for a Senior Proposal manager role
  • Refined commercial acumen and project management capabilities
  • Very good numeracy skills
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft office programs, and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of nuclear utility buying practices
  • Proficient in English, both speaking and writing
  • Excellent communication skills

If you also have knowledge in additional IT tools, such as SAP, D365, PowerBI and/or PRIME that is very meritorious!
