The Project Execution Director, Environmental Solutions will have the accountability for project execution and oversight of a dedicated list of complex projects in the Environmental Solutions business portfolio. Lead regular project reviews, provide guidance and coaching with regards to project management on strategy, claims, scope, schedule, and cost. He/She will be responsible for management & results of this portfolio of projects. Ensures that project teams are adequately staffed in key roles like Contract management, scheduling & cost control. Ensure to reduce the risks exposure, develop & propose all necessary strategies and risk mitigation actions to end-up into improving results, and reducing risk exposure. Implement those risk mitigation strategies once validated by Management (SVP of Business and OPS Management). Ensures that programs &/or projects deliver on safety and quality, manage risk, schedule, and costs, minimize margin degradation risks and meet or exceed the Revenues and Margins commitments. Responsible for coaching a change management culture, by identifying & managing risks, increasing opportunities whenever a change is identified. Demonstrates advanced skills in finance, contract management, cross-cultural awareness, leadership, communication, influence, negotiation, and conflicts resolution. Manage staff capability & competencies according to challenges faced and risks scenarios. Use interpersonal and soft skills to cultivate positive culture within the team or Project/Program Managers, customers, and other stakeholders in a matrix environment to facilitate successful project completion, as well as identifying opportunities for additional business growth. Ability to analyze and resolve highly complex technical, commercial, and operational issues to provide high quality, enhance positive customer and suppliers experience allowing a positive influence on profit margins. Understand contractual structures and requirements to enable successful project implementation. Use and support Westinghouse project management systems and controls of various projects ensuring an up-to-date and accurate reporting of each of the projects within the allocated portfolio. Maintain good working relationships with customers.
Your Day to Day:
- Assess MAD levels and Improve the same for all projects in the project portfolio (Margin as delivered >= Margin As Committed or as Estimated)
- Support meeting Revenue Recognition and Margin targets of the business.
- Support proposal process for new change Orders &/or complex projects opportunities on existing portfolio.
- Facilitate efficient collaboration with other entities including GOS GES & Manufacturing, Accounts teams, GSCM, Finance, Quality, HR.
- Oversee and hold accountable direct reports &/or dotted line reports Project Managers and team members to deliver business objectives.
- Lead and develop a staff of 3-10 Project Managers, work with them in supporting the business targets.
- Continue to develop the operational model through effective change management within key stakeholders.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical, Nuclear of equivalent) required; Advanced degree in Project Management or Engineering is preferred (MSc).
- 15 years of professional experience, 10 years as a minimum in Project Management, 5 as a minimum in the nuclear industry, successful track record in delivering complex projects, experience in managing multi projects/programs portfolios.
- Knowledge of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) PMBOK guide (Project Management Body Of Knowledge) guide required
- PMP® certification required.
- Strong communication proficiency required including but not limited to strategic thinking, negotiation, scheduling, commercial, and legal awareness.
