This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at either the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Your Day-to-Day:
The Resource Manager will report to the Director of Reactor Component Engineering.
- Implement standards contained in Westinghouse "Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct." Ensure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies and enforce them within this supervised activity. Ensuring appropriate human resources are assigned to implement customer projects.
- Managing and allocating global resources and materials to support the Business Units
- Implementing personnel performance improvement and skills development process to develop adequately trained and qualified resources to implement programs & projects.
- Implementing personnel performance improvement and skills development process to assure Westinghouse competitiveness.
- Assure a fair and competitive pay structure for all personnel.
- Identify and implement cost savings initiatives.
- Implementation and integration of the Global Competency Model into all aspects of managing personnel.
- Assuring safety, health, and regulatory compliance within the group
- Routine and frequent communication with all levels of management internally and externally to respond to emergent plant issues and challenges.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
- Typically, a minimum of 10 years strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience preferred.
- Experience managing engineering teams is preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with Reactor Component Engineering skills and products.
- Experience with negotiations, persuasion, listening, and people development skills is essential.
- Ability to engage customers to promote group products and services.
- Effective oral and written communication with internal and external customers and engineering groups.
- Ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.
- Excellent team building skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
