Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management.


Responsibility
  • Work as SAM of busbar commodity, cover all related tasks as new supplier development, cost out initiatives, negotiations, supplier relationship management etc.
  • Develop and implement commodity procurement strategy
  • Develop new and maintain ongoing relationships with busbar suppliers, along with converter supplier APAC factories in China and India to gain competitive advantages
  • Secure that cost reduction targets are achieved through cost out projects and ongoing price negotiations for procurement initiatives.
  • Build supply market intelligence and ensure that supply base data is available to support business decisions

Qualifactions
  • Bachelor's or Masters' degree in global supply chain management, electronics or other related business studies
  • 8+ years' work experience in procurement or other related supply chain management field, industry experience (renewable energy, manufacturing/factory environment, etc.) is desired, better understanding to project management preferred
  • Experience gathering market intelligence (understanding/interest in global markets, material trends, politics, etc.), high level business insight (understanding of financial statements, cash flow, EBIT, inventory, etc.)
  • Advanced negotiation experience for supplier negotiations (Direct negotiation experienced is beneficial)
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, advanced ability to create and deliver presentations and business cases
  • Results oriented, problem solver, critical thinking skills
  • Candidate needs to be self-motivated, find opportunities and have ability to make independent fact-based decisions

Competencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SAP and additional software programs)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms in English
  • Ability to work flexible hours and with variety of cultures (coordinating with various time zones)
  • Ability to effectively work with a cross functional team that may include internal, external, domestic and international stakeholders
