Director, Field Upgrade Management
Location: Portland preferred, but will consider Remote candidates with extensive Wind Experience
Responsibilities:
Lead and empower three business units of Project Managers
Direct regional initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost across the Vestas organization.
Maintain Master Schedule, provide accurate project forecasting related to scope, schedule, budget, time and materials
Provide regular updates to VPs and Stakeholders, including monthly reports and business performance
Ensure internal business transparency and consolidate relevant data for global strategies and goals
Foster robust cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure relevant risk assessments are completed
Identify and utilize cost out opportunities in the business unit
Advise management about important industry trends
Stakeholder management and relationship building
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration or other related field or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education. Masters’ degree preferred.
7 - 10 years of progressive leadership experience in an established organization
Proven ability to mobilize resources quickly and execute large multi-million dollar emergency campaigns in utility field.
Proven project and program management skills. Ability to develop, plan, and implement strategic short- and long-range goals.
Effective team leadership skills with ability to facilitate a cooperative work environment, motivate, coach, and facilitate employee development and performance.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of business units in a global organization.
