Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of construction-related elements for new wind farm projects in Australia and New Zealand
  • Direct Project Planners and Turbine Installation in the development of master programs
  • Negotiation of construction annexures in turbine supply and EPC agreements with wind farm developers, and provide support to procurement in contractor negotiations
  • Identify potential risks, and design and implement mitigation strategies to minimise impacts
  • Develop and execute Early Works, including managing budget and external consultants and reporting on progress to internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive the investigation of scenarios to optimize all aspects of the construction, during the project bidding and sales phase.
  • Act as a sparring partner to the sales team and Bid Managers for operational and construction cost-related topics, to ensure high customer value creation

Qualifications:

We are looking for a person with qualifications and experience that align with the below. We are open to receiving applications from candidates who do not meet all the below criteria.

  • 8+ years of project management experience, ideally within wind energy, power plants, infrastructure, or the construction industry
  • Understanding of market drivers for renewable projects
  • Track record of working on EPC projects, from bidding phase to final completion, preferably in project delivery/construction.
  • Strong leadership skills, with an interest in motivating cross-functional teams
  • Experience with commercial negotiations
