As a Financial Controller (m/f/d) you will be part of the Financial Controlling team in region Northern and Central Europe (NCE) and collaborate closely with the rest of the Finance organization in the NCE region but also with the Group Finance function in Copenhagen and Shared Service Center located in Manila.
The department is responsible for monthly IFRS reporting to Group and local statutory reporting requirements. As the Financial Controller (m/f/d) specifically for the Benelux region your main responsibilities will be controlling and accounting for entities within this area.

Responsibilities
  • General financial controller responsibilities include
  • Specific local financial knowledge of the Benelux Region
  • Timely and efficient closing process and submission of monthly and annual reporting packages
  • Controlling of Balance Sheet and investigation of issues and supporting audit requests
  • Ensure adherence to Group financial processes, compliance rules/policies and Vestas's guidelines
  • Specific responsibilities relating to the this specialized role include:
  • Manage relationships with external advisors
  • The ability to organize and lead a group of stakeholders from closely connected finance teams to drive local compliance and improvement initiatives within these countries

Qualifications
  • Relevant education / degree most likely within Finance, Controlling or similar combined with work experience from finance, in an international company
  • Good controlling and accounting skills
  • Knowledge and experience within SAP ERP FI & CO module is an advantage
  • Fluent in English. French or Dutch language skills are also required for this position

  • Experience working in a multi-national company, highly engaged in stakeholder management
  • Finance / accounting knowledge Strong ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
  • Flexible mindset, comfortable in managing and driving change
  • Self-organized, accountable and a team player with good people skills
  • You will focus on assuring the figures and report all financial data as well as maintain complete and proper records of revenue, expenditures, assets, and liabilities
  • In addition, you will make sure we are following the compliance and local accounting requirements. You will also make sure that the external reporting such as VAT, Intrastat & statistics are carried out according to current laws and internal guidelines in the most efficient way
  • Another of your key purposes in this role is to guide the business on accounting treatment and challenge where it is needed, being the spider in the web and get into the business
