This position represents the SQ&D department in the APAC - SEA & ANZ region, coordinates SQ&D activities and ensures that the SQ&D strategies are executed with highest focus on quality, safety and environment, and without compromising agreed processes and lowest total cost of ownership. The key task is the operational development of key suppliers in the SEA & ANZ region by performing site audits, supplier assessments and leading improvement tasks to enforce high supplier performance, zero safety incidents and reduce the cost of poor quality (COPQ) and number of non-conformities


Responsibilities

  • Deploy the Vestas Quality, Safety and Sustainability Strategy towards external suppliers
  • The responsibilities range from assessment and development of suppliers to component qualification with PPAP and APQP4wind
  • Develop supplier quality, capability and performance topics on behalf and in compliance with the Module/ Sourcing Team manager
  • Being supported on the transactional clarification of non-conformities by NC coordinators in order to step in on escalated NC with problem-solving experience to eliminate the root cause and track down Cost of Poor Quality
  • Interface internally to the developers, sourcing and logistics as well as our internal customers, the factories
  • Coordinate the supplier, our external contact includes customers conducting inspections or audits at our suppliers

Qualifications

  • Solid 10 + years working experience with demonstrated quality management and problem-solving skills, ideally with experience from the energy sector or automotive industry
  • Background from the field of Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Knowledge in FRP, plastic, chemical products, and hands on experience on WTG Blade manufacturing processes and Blade materials
  • Proficient in applying advanced quality methodology (e.g., APQP, PPAP, process analysis, statistical studies, problem-solving techniques) and ideally have experience with APQP4Wind.
  • Have internal auditor ISO 9001:2015 or assessor for VDA 6.3. Experience with ISO 14001 / 45001 or similar standards for EHS Management Systems is desired.
  • Are a Six Sigma Green Belt with continuous improvement and DMAIC practice
