General Purpose:
Testing electronic components of Nacelle before final assembly occurs

Responsibilities:
  • Test safely, according to all procedures, is the #1 priority as there are high hydraulic pressures and high voltages in test
  • Control and test an assembled, or pre-assembled product in production; make quality control of the product to ensure no failures pass through to the next level and/or supplier
  • Verify adherence to Vestas quality and testing standards before allowing product to takt to next operation
  • Perform assembly / process work in operation for which he/she is responsible for, as needed; normally will be perform non-standard work and will cover operations in the event of absences
  • Problem-solving by trying to diagnose test failure issues
  • Point of contact within operation for process/product engineering changes
  • Ensure NCR reports is made, as regarding product/assembly not meeting Vestas quality specifications
  • Inspect product to determine compliance with order specifications, company’s quality control system for compliance
  • QDA entry; stamp mark of approval or rejection with QDA on product and write report
  • Provide customer service by responding to requests for service and assistance
  • Listen and obtain clarification; responds well to questions
  • Teamwork - gives and welcomes feedback

  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; Apply feedback to improve performance

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Education, Training, and Skills Required:
  • Journeyman or Master Electrical license and 4 years’ hands-on experience OR documented electrical education (i.e. Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Trade school certificate of graduation, Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering) and 4 years’ hands-on experience OR documented military-equivalent technical training with electrical system, (i.e. Avionics, Power Production, Civil Engineering) and 4 years’ hands-on experience. Note: experience must be with industrial or commercial electrical equipment including maintenance and troubleshooting 3 phase systems and controls
  • Annual refresher courses in electrical and hydraulic safety training
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing software and Spreadsheet software
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

  • Annual refresher courses in electrical and hydraulic safety training

  • You can identify solutions to issues with process of elimination
  • At least one year of wing experience or 2-3 years of experience in an applicable background, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing software and Spreadsheet software
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to comprehend electrical and hydraulic schematics with European symbols
  • Low voltage troubleshooting - 24V
  • PLC experience
  • Network experience – Wi-Fi and Fiber optics
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic valves
