Plant Engineering is a part of NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organisation in installing and servicing a great number of SCADA systems, controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our job is to turn groups of wind turbines into a functional power plant unit, according to contractual and regional requirements.

Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.


As a
SCADA Project Professional
at Vestas, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the growth of our business. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Strategic Project Management: Be accountable for project deliverables based on strategic priorities and goals. This includes maintaining high standards in quality, adhering to schedules, and prioritizing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) considerations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Assessment and Opportunity Identification: Continuously assess risks and identify opportunities to enhance project outcomes. Your goal is to ensure on-time project completion while maximizing value for Vestas.
  • Effective Coordination and Communication: Facilitate seamless coordination and communication between the project engineering team and other stakeholders. Resolve technical issues promptly to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Proposal Support: Actively contribute to proposal management during the customer project proposal phase. Identify claims and estimate related expenses accurately.
  • Process Improvement and Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to internal process improvement projects. Contribute to strategical initiatives within the SCADA Project Management & Plant Engineering team.
  • Market Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams by gathering market requirements. Your insights will have an impact on our product offerings.
  • New Business Models Execution: Support the execution of new business models. Stay abreast of industry trends and adapt our approaches accordingly.
  • Mentoring and Training: Mentor team members throughout their project lifecycles. Organize and lead training sessions to enhance project management skills.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Completed a university degree in applied sciences, engineering, or business administration.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in relevant industries, products, or applications is essential.
  • Expertise in Project Management: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using project management methods and tools.
  • Stakeholder Management Skills: Proficient in stakeholder management techniques.
  • Language Proficiency: Good professional English (mandatory) and German language skills is beneficial

Primary Work Location: Hamburg or Berlin in Germany.
