We are pleased to announce that applications for four Conservation Trainees are now open. Conservation Traineeships are an exciting opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge needed for a career in conservation. Working with Durham Wildlife Trust and our partners, trainees are able to put their learning into practice while working to restore natural habitats and protect wildlife.

PLEASE NOTE We are recruiting four trainees across two training programmes, details on this advert are for the Conservation Trainees - Rainton Meadows and Low Barns. About the role - Conservation Trainees - Rainton Meadows and Low Barns

In this role you will assist with the organisation and delivery of volunteer tasks in practical habitat management across our 53 nature reserves; gaining industry recognised qualifications to support a career in conservation, and developing general skills in UK conservation, ecology and natural history.

  • 12-month contract, 30 hours per week, salary of £18,720 per annum (paid monthly).
  • One traineeship available at both Rainton Meadows and Low Barns Nature Reserves.
