WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER


As part of the membership team at The Nature Conservancy, the Membership Gift Processing Specialist supports the organization’s global cash receipting processes through transaction entry, account monitoring and reconciliation, and audit support. The Specialist works as a member of a team processing centrally received donations and plays a lead role answering questions and resolving problems related to cash and revenue entries. The Specialist actively uses the organization’s financial system, fundraising system, and Excel in daily work and must be comfortable with technology and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Membership Gift Processing Specialist is responsible for operational and business process support, and data integrity required to enable effective Membership gift processing operations in support of fundraising programs. They work in collaboration with Membership Operations, Development, Treasury and vendor colleagues for effective execution of the process and tasks. They administer and maintain gift processing activities in accordance with TNC policies and procedures and best practices in financial management. They aid staff in their specialty area. They respond to moderately complex questions and problems from staff, management and vendors based on advanced knowledge of the subject area.

The position requires a reliable individual with organizational and time-management skills, a flexible, team- oriented attitude, and the willingness and capacity to become (and remain) familiar with business rules and processes in areas they support. Additional responsibilities may be undertaken under the direction of the membership team including acting as backfill for team members as needed and appropriate.

We’re looking for a passionate, curious person who enjoys both diving into the details and understanding “how the big picture works” to join the Membership Operations team. If you are a critical thinker that likes to manage Constituent data and processing revenue, this is the job for you. The job offers a great mix of independent tasks and team-based project work. WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience or equivalent combination;
  • Experience coordinating administrative processes;
  • Experience in data entry, generating reports and interpreting data;
  • Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading;
  • Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines; and
  • Experience working across teams and communicating with a wide range of people


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organization skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Experience with databases and spreadsheet software
  • Experience in using existing technology to achieve desired results
  • Multi-lingual skills and/or multi-cultural experience appreciated

SALARY INFORMATION


The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $53,770 - $79,290 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
