What to Expect What You’ll Bring
The Weight Scale Technician is responsible for the accurate weighing and recording of weights on an industrial scale.
What You’ll Do- Operating Scales: Manage industrial scales for weighing goods, materials, and vehicles
- Ensuring Accuracy: Calibrate and maintain scales for precise measurements, troubleshooting issues
- Record Keeping: Accurately record and maintain weight data, using computer systems for data entry
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensure weighing activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Customer Service: Interact with users, provide instructions, and address queries related to weight measurements
- Safety Management: Maintain a safe weighing area, manage traffic, and enforce safety protocols
- Reporting: Prepare and submit reports for billing, inventory, and compliance purposes
- Previous experience in operating industrial scales is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic mathematical and computer skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Other duties as assigned
