What to Expect What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
The Logistics Shipping Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials to the site and finished goods outbound. You will be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving processes, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to safety and compliance guidelines. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to the success of our operations.
- Entry of data such as incoming and outgoing materials into a web-based database program in compliance with established policies and procedures
- Establish receiving and shipping information flow, tracking and ability to summarize volume and methods of rapid retrieval of data. Using avariety of on-line tools
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading and other necessary information
- Respond to unanticipated changes e.g. increase/ decrease demand, provide information, impact assessment, and downstream customers
- Support and train operators as needed to generating labels and shipping documents
- General knowledge of DOT/EPA/OSHA rules and regulations governing chemical shipments and handling
- Complete other duties assigned
- Shipping and Logistics experience and the ability to leverage experience by establishing shipping and receiving processes within a new plant
- Strong detail orientation and organization skills needed to establish and maintain accurate and easy to access material tracking
- Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to establish systems and then train and support operators or others to ensure systems operate over holidays, vacations o rweekends
- Forklift operation experience or the ability to complete forklift training upon hire
- Flex as the role changes and evolves over time in support of business needs and company growth
