What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly-motivated Manufacturing Engineer to develop assembly processes and high-volume production equipment with the Dojo Supercomputer team in Palo Alto, CA. The production lines include both manual and automated workstations to assemble and test system trays and cabinets. The Manufacturing Engineer will help optimize designs for manufacturability, streamline manufacturing processes, develop automation solutions for assembly, fastening, and test, and support both low and high volume production. The Manufacturing Engineer thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI & robotics.
What You’ll Do
  • Provide design-for-manufacturing feedback to shape next-generation high volume products
  • Generate machine specifications, process documentation, manufacturing instructions, and validation plans
  • Develop manufacturing line from concept to production
  • Drive equipment and process optimization to increase yield, throughput, and availability while reducing cost and lead-time
  • Manage installation, qualification and ramp-up of manufacturing equipment
  • Collaborate with Production Engineering, EH&S, Ergonomics, Quality, Operations, Facility Engineering and Design
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong hands-on experience with pilot and high-volume production
  • Proven track record of data driven methodology to solve complex problems
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Catia, and AutoCAD preferred)
  • Experience working with automation systems, robotics, and PLCs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation

$80,000 - $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
