What to Expect What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
The Sr. EHS Specialist is responsible for complex technical work within a range of EHS disciplines. The Sr. EHS Specialist supports day-to-day operations by managing a number of EHS processes including developing safety trainings and participating in the auditing process. Sr. EHS Specialists play a key role in the incident reporting and analysis process and work closely with multiple business units to develop and implement corrective actions preventing reoccurrence. They will also work with EHS Management to implement best practices for within a comprehensive safety management system.
- Lead day-to-day EHS operations and process management
- Develop and maintain strong communication between all organizations within factory production operations
- Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS management system processes
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Lead incident analyses to determine root cause, prevention, and necessary corrective measures. Design safe workspaces and create policies for employees to follow that minimize job-related hazards
- Provide technical support for EHS programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, etc.
- Develop and conduct education and training on EHS principles
- 5+ years of experience within a Health and Safety role, certifications (ASP, CSP) are preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Ergonomics, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety-related discipline; or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory agencies and requirements
- Practical, hands-on experience with LOTO, Equipment Safety, Ergonomics, Providing education / training, Risk assessment, Incident Analysis
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with departmental leadership and management
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines. Well organized with meticulous attention to detail
Compensation and Benefits
Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
$70,400 - $240,000/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
