What to Expect
As a Workplace leader, you are responsible for overseeing Workplace Operations and Programs for multiple Bay Area manufacturing sites, including Tesla’s Fremont factory. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exemplary leadership, people management, critical thinking, innovation, and multi-tasking abilities. The role will oversee scope within transportation (shuttles, employee parking, commuter benefits), culinary (on-site and food trucks), janitorial (manufacturing and office), landscaping/grounds, office planning and moves.
What You’ll Do
  • Manage a team of Workplace professionals (salaried and hourly), Project, and Program Managers
  • Sustain and iterate on operational guidelines to deliver best in class services to Tesla employees and guests
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Workplace scopes and multi million dollars budgets
  • Manage team compensations, promotional, and merit increases strategically
  • Identify areas of concern and develop plans to resolve them. Partner with production, engineering, and admin team leadership to ensure proper support, 24/7
  • Responsible for identifying business needs, budgeting, tracking and executing
  • Identify technology and process gaps, conduct sophisticated and creative gap analysis, and translate those results to easily digestible messages
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years’ experience in Workplace Operations, Facilities Services, or a closely related function with 3 years' experience as people manager. Proven track of successfully supervising, developing and training staff
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and workflow to ensure efficiency and exceptional outcomes, comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where priorities change frequently
  • Excellent independent decision-making capabilities and a solutions-oriented attitude
  • Ability to engage as required to avoid conflicts with customers based on personality differences and to make suggestions in a manner that is more likely to result in a desired outcome
  • Good project management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks across various user groups
  • Change Management principles and processes experience desired

Expected Compensation

$88,000 - $198,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
