What to Expect What You’ll Do What You’ll Bring
The Associate Manager will be responsible for managing, inspiring and developing a team made up of Supervisors, Associates, Technicians, Engineers and Leads. The Associate Manager provides hands-on support, leadership, and direction to their direct reports, and takes pride in their hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will appreciate an environment where superior work is encouraged, noticed and rewarded.
- Drive production output, efficiency & cost improvements through bottleneck management
- Create, track & use metrics that emphasizes safety, quality, efficiency & cost
- Manage Supervisors, Leads and Production Associates and develop the team structures used in the Tesla Factory
- Maintain and ensure compliance with process documentation for standardized work
- Promote cross training, job flexibility and versatility of staff, including development of training schedule
- Understand machine capacity, create machine line loads and implement equipment contingency plans
- Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station or team area
- 10+ years’ experience working in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment
- Experience and thorough knowledge of production systems and processes
- Experience managing teams of people in a production environment
- Experience in new product development and launch activities
- Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
- Remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success

Expected Compensation
- Associate Mgr Manufacturing - $81,600 - $122,400/annual salary
