Tesla is seeking an experienced Associate Training Instructor for Quality, specializing in manufacturing training and course development. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in quality management tools, production operations, and adult learning principles to create a world-class training program. We are looking for a positive, motivational, and professional individual with exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills. As a key member of the Factory Training team, your responsibilities will include developing comprehensive, multi-layered training, addressing shop training needs, and delivering hands-on instruction in both lab and manufacturing settings. You will also maintain high engagement in classroom settings and ensure accurate training records. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with various departments across the factory to uphold excellence throughout the organization and contribute to our mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and Design Training Content: Create both basic and advanced technical content tailored to the Quality Department's needs, covering a wide variety of materials and topics
  • Deliver Technical Training: Conduct technical training courses in classroom, lab, and field settings using various instructional methods, including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), facilitative group learning, active hands-on learning, and functional assessments
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS): Track completed and required training, monitor trainee progress, and ensure compliance with Tesla’s training standards through the use of Tesla's Learning Management System
  • Ensure Training Relevance: Stay updated with the latest revisions in process operations and industry standards to continuously improve training content, ensuring it remains relevant and effective
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality and Production departments to align training programs with organizational goals and departmental needs
  • Assess Training Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within training programs and work with team members to implement best practices
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum of 2 years of Production operations experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment and experience in a training role, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance role
  • Experienced with the use of quality management tools such as 8D, FMEA, DMAIC, product containment, and control plans
  • Familiar with objective based training, ADDIE process, and functional assessment settings
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving, including identifying and isolating issues across various settings.
  • Proficient with Excel, specifically pivot tables and formulas
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools, as well as Learning Management Systems
