Position Summary

This program is an opportunity for Fedcap students to serve with SCA during the school year. The goals are to provide youth with an immersive experience performing stewardship tasks in Essex County Parks. Crew members will also be engaged in environmental education lessons and activities.

Schedule

October 21, 2024 - April 4, 2025

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Invasive Species Management; Trail Restoration and Stewardship; Farm and Garden Maintenance

Marginal Duties

Participate in SCA led environmental education activities

Required Qualifications

Must be a student at the FEDCAP School

Preferred Qualifications

Prior SCA Experience
Interest in working in the outdoors

Hours

40 per week

Living Accommodations

This is a commuting position. Crew members will return home each day after service concludes. Service will take place during the school day.

Compensation

This is an unpaid volunteer position.
