How to contribute to our vision
We are looking for a Grid Integration Engineer to develop converter and power plant controller models for solar and battery storage markets. You will become part of a high-performance team responsible for the grid integration design and support of the converter and controllers manufactured by the company.
  • Project development and validation of V-ION flow-battery project (battery + PCS) in La Plana hybrid pilot plant
  • Develop of inverter and Power Plant Controller models in different SW (PSSE, PSCAD, PowerFactory, Matlab, etc) for photovoltaic and battery storage markets.
  • Inverter and Power Plant Controller model homologation for specific markets, such as Australia, Europe, US, etc
  • Grid code surveillance to identify new requirements that will launch new developments.
  • Grid integration studies of PV & BESS projects to confirm correct dimensioning and grid code fulfillment.
  • Inverter model correlation with test rig results
  • Technical notes generation with the grid code compliance analysis of Gamesa Electric inverters and Power Plant Controllers
  • Support on Power Plant Controller parametrization of PV & BESS plants
  • Pre-sales support on PV & BESS plant dimensioning and technical questions of customers
  • Sales support with customers
  • After sales support in relation to models, grid code compliance and operational limits
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

  • Knowledge of electrical grids and grid code compliance
  • At least 3 years of experience in grid integration for the renewable energy market
  • Experience in analysis, diagnosis and problem solving on complex systems
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Full competence on, minimum, one of the following SW: Matlab, PSSE, PSCAD or PowerFactory
  • Availability to on-site support of all the activities related to the operation of La Plana hybrid pilot plant
