Rivian is seeking a Credit and Collections Manager to join our dynamic Finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the company’s credit and collections processes, ensuring timely collection of receivables, evaluating credit risk, and implementing strategies to improve cash flow and minimize bad debt. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit management, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of managing collections in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: - Maintain credit policies and procedures to ensure sound credit decisions and minimize financial risk.
- Evaluate and approve credit applications, setting appropriate credit limits based on analysis of financial statements and credit reports.
- Monitor and manage the accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collections and resolution of outstanding balances.
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve credit and collections issues and improve the customer experience.
- Analyze aging reports, identifying trends and developing strategies to address delinquent accounts.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers as needed.
- Collaborate with the legal team to handle escalated collections cases, including initiating legal action if necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit and collections activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of the accounts receivable portfolio.
- Lead and mentor a team of credit and collections professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Lead end to end process for credit and collections, responsible for establishing and maintaining policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections management, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and credit reports.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to credit and collections.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP
- Professional certification in credit management (e.g., CCE, CICP).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with Google Workspaces and Microsoft Excel
