Commercial Operations Analyst - Order to Cash

Overview:
Nikola is looking for a high caliber Commercial Operations Analyst to join Nikola’s Commercial Operations organization. The Commercial Operations Analyst is primarily responsible for administration of the Order to Cash process and Field Level reporting such as Commercial Analytics, field activity tracking, and product performance monitoring.

The ideal candidate will be well organized and able to manage multiple priorities, collaborate cross-functionally and have a passion to contribute towards our mission to decarbonize the transportation industry. Ideally, you will be familiar with a typical start-up environment complemented by experience working within larger companies as it relates to process and planning.

THE JOB AND ITS REQUIREMENTS
This role is a critical contributor to ensure effective and timely execution of our transactions with an “easy to do business with” experience for our partners, and maximizing internal visibility towards our Business Planning and Strategy, while we aim to rapidly scale the business.
In this role, you will actively support our Sales and Finance team. You continuously develop and improve our processes and reporting tools and find ways to streamline and simplify the execution of our transactions.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the order to cash process, including preparation of customized quotes, processing of transactions in SAP, communication with finance, manufacturing, logistics, and the customer
  • Administer and analyze financial transactions with our Dealership network, including but not limited to Marketing Co-Op programs, vehicle transaction pricing, and feature selection trends
  • Manage the documentation of required incentive application processes while creating regular reports on completed transactions within these funding programs
  • Assist the team in integrations between platforms and develop automations when applicable
  • Generate routine and ad-hoc C-suite reports for the Head of Commercial Operations to prepare business updates as required
  • Support the team in development of live reports (primarily PowerBI) on sales forecasting, revenue generation, cash flow and other key metrics
  • Organize customer visits and support the team with other administrative tasks if and when required
  • Verify reports and other KPIs that are communicated across departments to ensure consistency
  • Regularly assist the sales organization in data management
  • Evaluate operational efficiency
Qualifications:
  • University degree in business or related field. Recent graduates are welcome to apply, though demonstrated applicable work experience is a plus
  • Experience with PowerBI and MS Dynamics 365
  • Good understanding of business intelligence software, with the capability to develop entity-relationship models
  • Experience with relational database programming languages (DAX, SQL, etc.)
  • Process oriented mindset, able to provide intuitive solutions to meet the needs of different stakeholders
  • Experience with Microsoft suite products including power automate, flows, etc. is a plus
  • Exceptional ability to handle multiple deadlines and organize workload effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service skills and a demonstrated ability to establish effective, ethical working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to identify and develop new ideas and processes, able to turn ideas into practical working systems and procedures, creative and hands-on mentality
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism by maintaining a positive and respectful attitude, adhering to company policies and guidelines, consistently meeting deadlines and commitments, and upholding strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
