We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for Battery Controls Systems Engineering. This position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in EV powertrain systems architecture, analysis, and requirement management. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

You Will:

  • Work in a dynamic, cross-functional team to advance our cutting-edge battery control strategy
  • Contribute to our world-acclaimed battery product for mass-market passenger vehicles and stationary energy storage systems
  • In conjunction with battery scientists and algorithm engineers, develop performance requirements for miscellaneous battery algorithms
  • Collaborate with battery software, controls, and infotainment engineers to define ECU system functional and communication interfaces
  • In conjunction with electrical, functional safety, and homologation engineers, derive and manage engineering activities for compliance to international markets
  • Drive system analysis such as FMEA and FTA for fault-tolerant battery system
  • Collaborate with platform software engineers to architect and configure safety-critical ECU RTOS

You Bring:

  • 5 years of experience as a systems/product engineer for complete life cycle of complex embedded products
  • Familiarity with safety-critical embedded systems development workflow
  • Experience with failure analysis methods such as FMEA and fault tree analysis
  • Good organizational and program management skills
  • Proficiency in C/C++ or MATLAB/Simulink

Advantageous:

  • Experience with battery management systems and EV powertrain
  • Good understanding of automotive functional safety standards like ISO 26262
  • Exposure to AUTOSAR

Education Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fields, MS preferred
