About the Role:
We are looking for a talented Product Manager to lead the design and development of Loam’s carbon project management product, SecondCrop. A SecondCrop project is a partnership between a grower and Loam, to run an emissions reduction project on their farmland, based on rigorous methodologies and Loam’s microbial products. Our goal is to build a platform that enables scalable project management and provides growers and Loam’s own teams with a great experience, throughout the entire 25-plus-year life of a project.
As a Product Manager within the Data and Technology team, your responsibility is the product design and management of the digital platform that enables SecondCrop. You will work closely with Loam’s business units, and particularly closely with domain specialists in carbon project methodology, compliance, and project operations. You will be responsible for understanding our various internal and external user groups, designing user journeys, and building detailed requirements. You will be part of a software development team, working closely with software developers and UX resources to deliver regular feature improvements via an Agile methodology.
This is a remote position, to be based in the Australian Eastern Daylight time zone.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a long-term product vision and roadmap that aligns with Loam’s business objectives
- Work with UX researchers to conduct research to understand the needs and pain points of growers and Loam’s internal teams.
- Oversee the end-to-end design and development of the SecondCrop platform. This includes; conceptualizing new features, drafting detailed product requirements, and working with UX/UI designers to create intuitive interfaces.
- Act as the main point of contact between the Data and Technology team and other business units. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure all departments are aligned and informed about product developments.
- Work closely with specialists in carbon project methodology and compliance to ensure the product adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with the development team to ensure rigorous testing of new features. Gather feedback from beta testing and iterate on the product accordingly.
- Use data analytics to track product performance and user engagement. Generate regular reports to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities. Use this knowledge to anticipate market needs and guide product strategy.
- Regularly engage with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and customers, to gather feedback and ensure the product meets their expectations.
Requirements
- Proven significant experience in digital product management, including product design for new products
- Experience working in a software development environments, including working directly within a software development team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Knowledge of carbon reduction methodologies and compliance regulations is a plus, but not required
- Ideally, a bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in product management are also desirable.
