What you will do

SUMMARY

Lightsource bp is currently seeking a full-time HSE Coordinator who is keen to make a career in renewable energy and HSE. You will join an already established HSE team where you will develop professionally, as you support in driving the health and safety of our employees and contractors and care of the environment on behalf of Lightsource bp.

We are focused on hiring the right attitude as with the right attitude, skills can be taught and with time, experience can be gained. As this is a junior opportunity, we are seeking applicants with no more than 2 years’ experience in any industry, but you must be able to show a real interest and commitment to HSE and desire to develop.

This role will be a standard 38-hour work week and based in our Sydney CBD office with short domestic travel once per month. We offer a hybrid and flexible working environment which for most, includes in office Monday – Wednesday and WFH Thursday & Friday. This is something we can discuss throughout the interview process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with monitoring HSE compliance with commercial and company requirements,
  • Support with the management and implementation of our global Health, Safety & Environment management system and its requirements,
  • Support teams in fulfilling our HSE obligations,
  • Participate in risk identification activities throughout different project stages,
  • Conduct regular on-site HSE inspections and support with auditing as per the agreed schedule,
  • Collaborate and communicate with Contractors and LSbp staff, and
  • Assist with reporting as per organizational reporting requirements.

Who we are looking for

KNOWLEDGE

  • Intermediate PC skills with experience in Microsoft office products such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook,

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or higher) - or willing to obtain.
  • Construction Induction Card - or willing to obtain.
  • Unrestricted drivers licence.

EXPERIENCE

  • Maximum 2 years’ experience within the HSE space.
