The Opportunity
A unique opportunity to join the finance team of a growing international software and consultancy company. Our software enables clients to design high quality and innovative buildings whilst minimising the impact on the environment. We are experiencing increased demand for our products and services across the world and need to recruit a finance assistant / credit controller to help out a busy team. There will be an opportunity for the role to develop over time as the company continues to grow and the individual increases their skills.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for managing the sales ledger,
- Be responsible for worldwide customer collection and reducing debtor days,
- Resolve customer invoice disputes via internal and external enquiries
- Use and update Salesforce,
- Manage direct debit and credit card payments.
- Manage credit applications and setting limits,
- Allocate customer payments on sage
- Be willing to help the team in other tasks as they arise.
The Candidate
We need a pro-active, self-motivated, diligent person who is keen to learn and develop new skills and is willing to assist the other members of the team with other tasks as needed as well as taking ownership. We are looking for someone who is willing to be flexible to meet the changing demands of our business.
Essential:
- Good numeracy
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as debt collection will be via phone and email given the worldwide customer base.
Desirable:
- Sage Accounts
- Salesforce software
- Experience collecting direct debits and credit card payment
