About the role

The Volunteer Coordinator works to engage and involve volunteers in our Danish and Nordic campaigns. As a vital part of the Danish Programme Department, you will develop and identify meaningful ways for the volunteers to engage with and contribute to campaigns. As a member of the Nordic Volunteer Unit you will, together with the other volunteer coordinators in Nordic, develop and implement the Nordic volunteer programme.

As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will maintain, develop and coordinate the national volunteer network. You will be part of developing and delivering volunteer training and, in collaboration with the Action Unit, work to develop and maintain a strong activist base. You will work to ensure that all aspects of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion are facilitated in the national volunteer network and provide support and guidance for volunteers and activists during events and actions.

About you

You have a positive and solutions-oriented mindset and thrive in a variety of activities. You enjoy empowering others and seeing them develop and succeed.

You have relevant experience working with volunteers and/or activism and a strong wish to develop a dynamic volunteer community full of meaningful engagement opportunities.

You have excellent people and communication skills and are able to motivate, encourage and influence others.

You are fluent in English and, at a minimum, conversational Danish.

Knowledge of civil disobedience, campaigning and meeting/training facilitation is definitely good to have, as is a good understanding of NGOs and the grassroot movements.

The Nordic Volunteer programme currently works with specialist teams focusing on Artivism, Investigations, Lobbyism, Public Speaking and Social Media - knowledge of one or more of these areas is a plus.

It's preferred if you have some experience and knowledge of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion principles and solutions.
