Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and launch new data models and analytical tools from the ground-up, focusing on detailed and complex financial and operational questions that directly reflect and impact overall Company priorities and initiatives. This role requires strong technical skills, deep understanding of financial operations & accounting concepts, and project management skills to help drive multiple projects focused on improving Form Energy’s financial management and business operations. The candidate must be a “hand’s on” contributor; who enjoys challenges and thrives in a demanding and sometimes under-developed environment. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who are looking to build data models and analytical tools that leverage the latest and emerging technology in AI. What you'll do:

  • Lead projects to drive Form Finance Team’s digital transformation, focusing on how we can leverage the massive amounts of existing data generated from our ERP system as well as other data platforms, to answer key questions that will provide actionable insights for finance and other operational teams . These questions will span a wide spectrum, ranging from questions on budget vs. actuals, to complex questions on working capital. With the expectation of generating actionable insights that will drive improved decision-making and operational processes.

  • In doing so, you will not only develop and maintain new data models, you will also be down-selecting and incorporating new reporting and analytical tools into the finance toolkit (ex. Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, or other SQL-based tools). Additionally, you will be educating business partners on how to leverage these tools to access new insights from these models.

  • You will partner closely with other corporate FP&A team members, as well as finance leads across all other verticals (commercial, engineering, manufacturing), to develop new ways of leveraging all existing data, to fine-tune and automate our corporate consolidation process and cost of goods sold consolidation process, as well as detailed opex & capex budgets. In this process, you will gain exposure and deep understanding of a wide range of financial and operational data sets with various degrees of interoperability. Part of the challenge will be to resolve these potential issues, while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

  • You will serve as a key interface between operations and the software/digital function within Form; partnering closely with the software/digital teams to influence and inform data infrastructure.

  • Writing and maintaining the documentation for Business Intelligence solutions, including creating functional specifications, translating business requirements into technical requirements, and creating data dictionaries.

What you'll bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics or related field

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Netsuite

  • Proven technical knowledge in business intelligence tools such as Sigma, Power BI, or similar platforms, as well as proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with dbt and/or programming languages such as Python is also a plus.

  • Industry knowledge on the latest industry trends and best practices, including emerging trends in analytics, statistics, and AI tools

  • Ability to work independently, time manage, pay attention to detail and to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to initiate and lead discussions with business leaders and stakeholder to understand data and analysis needs

  • Curiosity and a self-starter mindset, including the ability to determine viable options or the best next step to work independently to achieve results
