Job Title: EHS&S Associate Engineer

Reports To: EHS&S Engineer or Manager

FLSA Job Status: Exempt

Basic Job Functions:

Implements the Environmental Health and Safety program ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and applicable regulatory standards.

Education/Experience:

  • 4 year degree in an EHS related field preferred, other degrees considered with related work experience. In lieu of a degree, job experience will be considered.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in the Environmental, Safety or Industrial Hygiene fields required.

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong self-motivation and multitasking abilities
  • Broad based knowledge of Safety, IH and Environmental programs
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to implement the Environmental Health Safety and Security Management program in accordance with Federal, State and Local Regulations
  • Responsible for industrial hygiene monitoring and reporting
  • Responsible for Safety Equipment routine checks in designated areas.
  • Responsible to provide designated group(s) with necessary support to prevent incidents impacting EH&S.
  • Assists in incident investigations as needed.
  • Support DE functions and project risk assessments.
  • Responsibilities for assisting the waste management functions and assist with shipments, labeling, inspections
  • Responsible for completing required audits and inspections as directed.
  • Provide EHS training.
  • Support activities of the Emergency Response Team and Safety Teams.
  • Support HEPA testing activities as needed.
  • Support all Security functions.
  • Support any other EHS&S job duties.

Reporting Relationships:

This position will report either to the EHSS Manager or Engineer

    Travel:

    • Domestic and International travel between 0-10%

    Estimated Salary Range:

    • $55,000-65,000 yearly
