About the role:

We are currently looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team based in BYD UK Office, Hounslow, London area. The role is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure of the BYD UK Auto business, and providing and maintaining system support services & administration for the groups' computer infrastructure and various software & systems.

Tasks & Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Cooperating with the HQ IT team to carry out the planning, implementation, upgrading, optimization and transformation of the IT network/server/infrastructure;
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues;
  • Management of the IT inventory, including hardware items as well as software licenses and warranties;
  • Cooperating with the HQ IT team to implement network security;
  • Efficiently and effectively responding to requests for IT support and providing solutions by cooperating with the HQ IT team.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization;
  • Preparing computers/laptops and other IT equipment for employees, and managing computers and other IT office equipment;
  • Other related activities and contingent assignments.

Skills and requirements

  • Bachelor`s degree in computer science or IT-related majors.
  • Preferably 2 years of IT/network-related work experience.
  • Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP or ITIL certifications are advantageous.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Chinese speaking is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12-24 months

Salary: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
